GO-001 General Chairperson Robert Kerley was elected to the position of UTU International Vice President at the 2007 Convention in Hollywood, Florida on August 14, 2007, and is expected to assume his new post effective January 1, 2008. In the meantime, an election will be held to fill the General Chairperson's position.

Notice has been sent to all Local Chairpersons advising that nominations will be accepted in the General Chairperson's office until close of business September 26, 2007. If more than one candidate is nominated, a ballot will then be circulated to the Local Chairpersons. It is anticipated that the newly elected General Chairperson will be chosen well before Brother Kerley vacates the office at the end of the year.
