The Federal Railroad Administration, in cooperation with Rail Carriers and Labor Unions, has released a flyer outlining some of the major requirements for employees involved in drug and alcohol testing under DOT and FRA regulations. These procedures do not necessarily govern other testing such as those conducted under "company authority" pursuant to an individual railroad's rules outside of any mandatory FRA testing.
