General Chairman Robert Kerley joined officers and members of UTU Local 303 on the campus of Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri to hear Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards address a crowd of several thousand on August 15, 2004. Missouri is considered a “swing” state in the November election, and the strong showing of support in Springfield is evidence that the positive, optimistic message of “One America” is gaining popularity and motivating working families looking for relief from the policies of the current administration. Thanks to the volunteers from Local 303, including Local Chairmen Les Wilson and Mike Reagan, who assisted the Kerry/Edwards team in preparing for the event and handling all the logistics. [photos]
